Triple C 2022, Pewën de Apalta 2023, and Floresta Sauvignon Blanc 2023 were awarded 95 points by the British critic. The latter was also named one of the “White Wine Discoveries of the Year.”
Viña Santa Rita received major recognition in the 2025 report by renowned British critic and Master of Wine Tim Atkin, with three of its wines selected among the best of the year and awarded 95 points: Triple C 2022, Pewën de Apalta 2023, and Floresta Sauvignon Blanc 2023.
The latter, sourced from a small grafted block in Leyda and blended with a small percentage of old-vine Semillón, was named one of the “White Wine Discoveries of the Year”. Atkin described it as a subtle, barrel-aged cuvée with nettle and gunint aromas, some creamy lees on the mid-palate, subtle wood and a palate of lime, elderower and pink grapefruit—highlighting its freshness, complexity and character.
Triple C 2022, a New World Bordeaux-style blend, was also praised by Atkin, who noted it has become one of the strongest wines in Santa Rita’s portfolio. He praised it as scented, smooth and enticing, evolving from aromas of violet, rose petal and vanilla spice to a palate of cassis, raspberry and fresh herbs, ‑ligree tannins and supporting acidity.
Meanwhile, Pewën de Apalta 2023, made from a Carmenère vineyard planted in 1938 in Apalta, was described as a dry farmed delight, with racy cassis, black cherry and pomegranate avours, subtle rocket and parsley top notes, subtle toasty oak, ‑ne tannins and impressive palate length.
Other Santa Rita wines also received outstanding scores in the report:
· Floresta Carmenère 2023 – 94 points
Unusually fresh and elegant for a Carmenère from Apalta, fermented in concrete and with structure gained from extended skin contact.
· Floresta Chardonnay 2023 – 93 points
Minerality and tension typical of Limarí, with notes of white flowers, lime and wet stones over a subtly toasty background.
· Floresta Field Blend Blanco 2023 – 93 points
An ancestral blend with grip and texture, resulting from extended skin maceration. Flavours of quince, black tea and tangerine.
· Floresta Cabernet Franc 2023 – 93 points
Fresh and herbal profile in the style of the Loire, with aromas of basil, graphite and cut grass, and firm, linear tannins.
· Floresta Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 – 92 points
A high-altitude Cabernet from Alto Jahuel. Still youthful and reserved, with firm structure, dark fruit and promising ageing potential.
· Bougainville 2021 – 92 points
A Petite Sirah blended with 8% unrelated Syrah, showing great depth and character, firm tannins, and notes of garrigue, plum skin and toasty wood.
